LAHORE, Dec 03 (INP): The senior central leader of the Pakistan Muslim League, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has declared that his party will fight to the hilt against the RGST in the Punjab Assembly and that the real showdown on the Revised General Sales Tax issue will take place in the National Assembly as well as the provincial legislatures.
The "Donkey Pump" chief minister is once again duping the poor public in the RGST issue. We will like always stand by the people against the draconian levy. Chaudhry Parvez Elahi expressed these views during the PML Punjab Assembly Parliamentary Committee meeting held today at his Lahore residence. Speaking with the PML provincial legislators, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that the incumbent Punjab government had no vision and its days were numbered.
He said that the day PPP withdrew its support the self proclaimed Khadim e Aala would be seen shifting back to Jaati Umra. Chaudhry Parvez Elahi declared that any attempt for the RGST approval would face stolid opposition from his party and N League would not be allowed to further dupe the people with its hypocritical policies. He said that in the absence of any new mega projects in the last 3 years the incumbent Punjab chief minister had been found inaugurating a donkey pump in Gujranwala a few days back.
The "Donkey Pump" chief minister has failed to give the poor even a sigh of relief in the last 3 years, stated Chaudhry Parvez Elahi. Chaudhry Parvez Elahi informed the party MPAs present in the meeting that the RGST was a money bill and was unacceptable to the PML. He also informed the PML legislators that any member favoring the RGST in the assembly against the
party's policy was liable for assembly disqualification according to the constitution. Chaudhry Parvez Elahi urged the incumbent Punjab government to give up its hypocritical policies and for once respond to the miseries of the poor caused by its last 3 years of poor performance.
During the meeting the PML Punjab provincial legislators expressed their complete confidence in the leadership of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Parvez Elahi. Several Punjab Assembly opposition members also expressed their pride in the fact that contrary to the startling revelations in the Wiki Leaks about others concerning their dubious and conspiratorial
roles the global organizations were all praise for the political acumen and magnificent performance in the government of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Parvez Elahi.
