ISLAMABAD, Dec 29 : The Jamaiat Ulema-e-Islam, (JUI) Senator Hafiz Hussain has said that the Muttahida Qaumi Muttahida (MQM) had a rift with the Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza and its parting ways at the federal cabinet is beyond comprehension.
Talking to INP in his witty style here on Wednesday, Hafiz Hussain elaborated that the MQM had a tussle with the Sindh home minister but instead of leaving the provincial government it opted to move away from the federal cabinet which was mind boggling matter.
The JUI senator said hen the MQM was in power it used to sit in the opposition benches and now after leaving the cabinet it had opted to sit in the treasury benches which was bewildering notion.
However, he said that the MQM was free to take any decision as it was party with independent thoughts.
To a question he said revival of the Muttahida Majlis e Amal (MMA) was the top most priority of the JUI, adding that after the revival of the religio-political alliance contacts would be established with other political parties to devise a strategy as how to deal with the prevailing political situation in the country.
