Cop among seven killed in Balochistan

QUETTA, Dec 24 : At least seven persons including police official were killed and one sustained injuries in the last 24 hours during various incidents of firings in different areas of Balochistan on Friday, police sources said.

According to details, two persons identified as Liaqat Ali and Abdul Jabbar were gunned in robbery incident. Both the above mentioned were going to home on motorcycle when intercepted by robbers at district Bolan, on posing resistance to the robbers, both the riders were killed at the spot by the robber.

Robbers manage to flee from the spot and police shifted the dead bodies to nearby hospital for autopsy.

In Lorlai area, a person identified as Murtaza Loni was killed and his friend sustained injuries when landmine went off nearby them while they were sipping tea at a hotel. The injured was shifted to hospital for medical treatment and was out of danger.

In yet another incident, dead body a police official was recovered from a deep ditch who was stabbed to death by unknown criminals. A passerby spotted the dead body and informed police of the incident. Police shifted the dead body to hospital for medical treatment.

A school teacher died mysteriously in Dera Murad Jamali area and was rushed to hospital for autopsy for autopsy.In Gahi Khan area of Quetta, some unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate firing at a person, killing him at the spot. Identity of the deceased was not yet ascertained. Police have registered separate cases and started investigation.
