SC adjourns Judges order case hearing

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Monday adjourned hearing of the case about media reports on withdrawal of the judges’ restoration executive order.

Attorney General Moulvi Anwar-ul-Haq today repeated the government stance before a 17-member larger bench that the government has no plans to withdraw the judges restoration notification.

Justice Javed Iqbal during the hearing remarked that there were reports on some news channels that another notification has been prepared for withdrawal of the judges restoration notification.

The Attorney General informed the court that the committee constituted by the government to look into the source of the reports has not completed its report and requested for more time for submission of the final report.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case for an indefinite period.
