Man shot to death by rivals

SARGODHA, Sep 19: A man was shot to death by rivals in the vicinity of Sargodha city police on Sunday, police sources said. Samar Abbass, resident of Mubarrakwala area of Sahiwal Police Station, was going to his home when armed men of a rival group identified as Mohammad Nawaz, Ghulam Abbass and their accomplices opened indiscriminate fire, killing him at the spot. The dead body was shifted by the locals to a nearby hospital for post-mortem. The criminals after committing the crime manage to flee from the scene. "The incident was the outcome of old dispute over a piece of agricultural land," police said. The dead body was handed over to the heirs after post-mortem and a case was also registered.
