3 killed, one hurt, six thieves nabbed in various incidents

RAHIM YAR KHAN, June 23: At least three persons were killed another
was injured in incidents of firing and electrocution in the suburbs of Rahim
Yar Khan, while police booked six thieves on Wednesday, sources said.

Sources said a loaded truck bound to Saray Alamghir hit hanging naked power
lines which electrocuted the driver identified as Iqbal Bhatti and inflicted
injuries to Mitto Bhatti, the cleaner.

The injured was shifted to nearby hospital, where his condition is stated to
be out of danger.

Another man, identified as Allah Wasia, was called by unknown man on his
cell phone and asked him to come to Qasba Chowk. When he arrived at the
spot, armed men opened fire at him, killing him at the spot.

Bakkar Saddar Police Station arrived at the spot and shifted the dead body
to hospital and started investigation, while the assailants managed to flee
from the scene.

Sources said that another person identified as Mohammad Anwar met his fate
as he was unable to endure the scorching heat in Dalawala, while dozens of
people including children went unconscious due to flow of heat.

On the other hand, crime cell Bakkar has apprehended at least six thieves
and recovered looted valuables and Rs 1.3 million in cash. The gang of
theirs were wanted to police in several cases.

Police have registered separate cases and started investigation.
