Four minors among eight killed in two incidents

LAHORE, May 27 : In two separate but similar incidents, eight people belonging to two families, including two women and four minors, were shot to death by gunmen, police sources said.

Gunmen Wednesday shot to death four members of a same family, including two minors, here at Bhatti Gate on Thursday, police sources said.

Sources said that four people of a same family were killed when unknown armed men entered their house and opened indiscriminate fire at the inmates, killing all four family members at the spot.

The deceased family members were identified as Usman his wife Rohee, six months old son Haris and three years old daughter Niral.

“The incident was result of an old enmity,” police said adding that Usman, a rickshaw driver, was accused in a murder case.

Police said it believes Wali Mohammad, brother of the man allegedly killed by Usman, is involved in the quadruplet murder.

In yet another incident at Misree Shah where a person identified as Noor Mohammad has killed his 40 years old brother identified as Ali Ahmad his wife Ruksana 36, three years old son Umer and daughter Anas who was two years old, when he refused to give money to the culprit.

The dead bodies were shifted to morgue and the culprit after killing them manage to escape.

Police have registered separate cases and launched hunt to net the culprits.
