ISLAMABAD , May 25 The Ambassador of European Union in Pakistan , H.E. Jan De Kok called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Owais Ahmed Ghani at Frontier House here on Tuesday.
Mr. Jan De Kok who was also accompanied by Country Representative of United Nation in Pakistan , Fikret Akcura and Country Director of Wold Bank in Pakistan , Yasupha Be Crookes remained with the Governor for some time and discussed matters of mutual interest with special reference to the situation in the region.
The Governor also briefed the guests about the salient features of the state of rehabilitation and reconstruction process in the terrorism and militancy hit areas.
The role and services of certain international organizations in ensuring economic uplift of the affected people, particularly through initiating reconstruction projects also came under discussion and the Governor appreciated their contribution.
