IOF troops raid Bethlehem, clash with youths

BETHLEHEM, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired rubber bullets and sonic and gas bombs at residential quarters in Doheisha refugee camp in Bethlehem in a pre-dawn raid on Sunday.

Locals said that the soldiers stormed the city and nearby refugee camps and deliberately fired sonic bombs to terrorize citizens and wake them up.

They noted that young men threw stones and empty bottles at the occupation forces, who responded by firing more gas canisters that led to breathing difficulties among women and children inside their homes.

The IOF soldiers rounded up two Palestinians in Doheisha and Aida refugee camps and served a summons to a teenager to report to the military command in Gush Etzion settlement after not finding him in his home.

The Doheisha refugee camp was the target of repeated incursions on the part of the IOF troops over the past few days.
