LAHORE, Feb 15 : Chief Minister Punjab Mian Mohammed Shahbaz Sharif Monday ordered a massive crackdown against the manufacturers of kite and thread.
The decision came in a meeting, chaired by the Chief Minister, which reviewed the over all law and order situation in the province with special reference to anti-kite manufacturing law.
The Chief Minister express the resolve that the provincial government will ensure implementation of court orders on the kite flying and directed the officials concerned to make sure its implementation.
The meeting also reviewed the performance of law enforcement agencies in taking action against the lawbreakers and offenders and bringing them to justice, media reports said.
“The anti-kite manufacturing law will be implemented all across the province strictly and negligence in this regard will not be spared,” sources said.
The meeting noted that the life losses due to kite flying will not be allowed.
The Chief Minister directed the provincial government officials to devise effective plans for discourage of fake judicial cases and directed the administration to take concrete actions against land mafia, extortionists, criminals and etc.
