LAHORE , Feb 23 : Police have Tuesday arrested at least 100 employees of Punjab Intermediate and Secondary Education Boards who were on strike in favour of their demands for the last two weeks.
The employees of PISEBs continued their protest on 14th consecutive day and despite ban on the entry their entry in concerned offices they tried to break into the offices responding to which police many among the on strike employees.
They said that payment of grants to education boards from Punjab government and arrests and use of forces can not stop them demanding their rights and they vowed to continue demonstration till meeting of their demands.

Sources told media that addresses were collected for arrest and show-cause notices from board offices were issued against them.
According to the notices, stern action was to be taken against those who fail to reply to them within seven days.
The police following the provincial government’s directives late Monday night conducted raids in Dera Ghazi Khan and adjoining areas during which at least 100 employees who were on strike including the union office bearers were held.
On the other hand, the union office bearers said that they would move court rather than replying to such notices.
