PESHAWAR, Jan 21 : At least four persons including a woman and two militants were killed and 18 others injured in two separate bomb blasts in Bajaur Agency on Thursday, official sources said.
According to details, some unidentified miscreants planted a roadside bomb in Rakhi-Pas area of tehsil Salarzaid, which went off a bang killing two persons and injuring 18 others.
Security Agencies have cordoned off the entire areas after the incident and a hunt for the perpetrators has been launched.
In another incident, two militants were killed during preparation of explosive material in tehsil Mamoond.
Meanwhile, the dead bodies of suspected militants were recovered from a remote village in tehsil Momood. Security forces said the two were preparing an explosive device, which went accidentally, killing both the militants on the spot.
“The security forces recovered pieces of their bodies from the spot after the blast,” official sources said the two were making the bombs in a house, which has also completely destroyed.
Meanwhile, more troops reached Bajaur to launch a fresh offensive against militants.
Meanwhile, security forces pounded militants’ positions with heavy artillery in Darra Adamkhel. INP
