HUJRA SHAH MUQEEM, Jan 08 : A man was gunned down and his wife was critically injured upon posing resistance in robbery at Hujra-Renal Road , police said Friary.
According to details Shahzad Ahmed S/o Muzzafar Hussain, a landlord of Janpura was going home in Renala Khurd along with his wife, when some six armed robbers tried to stop their car near Glaxo Stop at Hujra-Renala Road by placing hurdles on the road.
Shahzad Ahmed did not stop and tried to flee, upon which robbers opened fire at the car, injuring him and his wife.
The two were shifted to Renala Hospital with critical injuries, from where Shahzad was referred to Lahore for his serious condition, but he died on way the way.
A case s been registered in Shergarh Police Station against unknown culprits and police have started investigations. INP
