LAHORE, Jan 27 : Lawyers Coordination Committee (LCC) Wednesday called off their January 28 strike against the government’s non-implementation of the Supreme Court’s verdict on NRO.
Earlier, LCC gave the strike call across the country for pressurizing the government to implement Supreme Court (SC) ruling on NRO.
Secretary Supreme Court Bar (SCB) Raja Zulqarnain said the strike was withdrawn after the government’s assurance to act upon SC ruling over NRO.
He said that any decision regarding the LCC future strategy would be taken in its next meeting scheduled on February 14.
The Secretary SCB rejected the reports that strike call was withdrawn after lawyers organizations opposition and unsupportive behaviour.
