SARGODHA, Jan 22 : At least five persons of same family were killed and two others injured as roof of a under constructed house in Mohallah Aamaliwala of Bhaira on Friday.
According to police Ghulam Shabeer along with his family members was asleep in his under constructed house situated in Mohallah Aamaliwala of Bhaira when roof of house caved in early morning killing five including Ghulam Shabeer 55, his children Zahid, Irfan, Bilal and Sajida, while wife of the house owner Fauzia and son Shahid sustained critical injuries.
The locals and neighbours soon after getting the information of the incident reached the spot and recovered the bodies and injured in assistance with rescue teams and shifted them to hospital.
Barrister Pir Farooq Baha ul Haq Shah, a close ally of CM Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif visited the scene of incident and supervised the rescue work.
He expressed his grave concern over loss of precious lives and assured the bereaved family for making efforts for organizing financial assistance for them from provincial government.
Meanwhile, a case has also been registered into incident and investigations were underway.
