MUZAFFARGARH, Dec 31 : At least two burglars tortured to death in jurisdiction of Shehr Sultan Police Station of Muzaffargarh and a local landlord was also killed in fire exchange with robbers.i
According to police some four robbers broke into a house owned by local landlord Arshad, situated in Shehr Sultan Police Station jurisdiction on Wednesday-Thursday midnight and starting looting everything.
Arshad informed his relatives on phone about incident and his brother and others relatives reached the scene along with arms.
The locals also gathered and tried to grasp the burglars. They exchanged fire with robbers for half an hour during which local landlord Bilal was killed in the firing.
Two dacoits managed to escape waving arms however two were held by the villagers.
The villagers adversely tortured the dacoits with batons and later axed them to death. The killed dacoits were later identified as Muhammad Yousaf and Khadim Hussain.
The bodies were shifted to Rural Health Centre Shehr Sultan. The villages have demanded of the law enforcement authorities to arrest the other culprits as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in Shehr Sultan Police Station and investigations were underway.
