KARACHI, Dec 31 : The traders who fell victim to Bolton market tragedy have demanded government for an immediate compensation of Rs3 billion.
President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Haji Abdul Majeed Thursday told the newsmen that Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan is in contact with Finance Minster Shaukat Tarin to remove the concerns of victims of the Bolton Market tragedy.
He said Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has also discussed the issue with the President Zardari and have asked him for early compensation.
Majeed further said a group of traders will meet Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and is expected to get more funds from the provincial government.
He said a relief fund has also been established in which people can contribute generously. INP
