JHANG: At least nine people including three women and a kid were killed and eight others injured in a head on collision between a truck and van here on Thursday, police sources said.
According to details, a van carrying pilgrims was returning from the shrine of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo when it hit a speedy truck coming from the opposite direction near Garh Mor. Police said the accident was caused by dense fog, which has engulfed the most parts of Punjab since past weeks.
“Nine people, including 3 women and a kid, were killed in the accident and eight other passengers were injured,” police sources said.
The deceased and injured were rushed to District Headquarter Hospital Jhang and other medical facilities in the area, where three of them were said to be in critical condition.INP
