LAHORE, - Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Syed Naveed Qamar has said that PPP is a symbol of federation and has strong roots in all the four provinces besides other areas of the country.Talking to media after distributing share certificates of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL) to its employees under Benazir Employment Stock Option Scheme (BESoS) and reinstatement letters to sacked employees here Wednesday, he said that PPP never talked about one province.
To a question, the minister said that the leadership of both PPP and the PML-N, the major political parties of the country had given a clear message about their resolve to save the system at all cost.
Regarding minus one formula,he said that it was just a conspiracy and far from reality. He said that some vested interest of dictatorial era would want to destabilize the system.
To another question, Naveed Qamar said if the petroleum prices go down in the international market then the same would also be lowered in the country. He hoped that petrol prices in the international market would come down and the same would reflect here. However,he said that OGRA, which is an autonomous body assess and recommend the prices. APP
