LARKANA, : Jammiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Chief, Maulana Fazal ur> Rehman has said that media's trial against a single person could cause a threat to democracy.
He was talking to media persons after offering condolence with the JUI-F provincial Secretary General Dr. Khalid Mehmood Soomro for demise of his mother here on Wednesday.Fazal said that over 8000 people benefited through National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) but the media was concentrating only in criticizing a single person which was not in favour of the country and ongoing democratic> process.
He said that Supreme Court some four months before had vowed to not give any judgment which would affect the system but the recent SC verdict on NRO was surprising which has shaken the roots of the system. INP
