Sindh High Court will conduct hearing of a petition, regarding contempt
of court, against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on October 14.
A local citizen, Mehmood Ahtar Naqvi, has filed the plea in court against a recent statement of the Prime Minister.
PM Sharif had said in his statement, “The judicial officers are under pressure of the wrongdoers,” and the petitioner has termed this declaration of the PM, in his plea, as contempt of the court.
The petitioner has requested the court to launch proceedings of the contempt of court, over the statement, against the Prime Minister. The Sindh High Court has approved the petition and scheduled its hearing on October 14.
