A
Rawalpindi court directed DG ISI and DG Military Intelligence to appear
before the court in person on October 15 in the case of finding of
persons gone missing from Adiala Jail and other missing persons and
later found dead.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Rawalpindi Mohammad Naveed Iqbal issued the order on the petition of Abdul Shakoor, brother of a missing person.
Bodies of two of the 11 persons gone missing from Adial Jail were found abandoned while Abdul Shakoor, brother of murdered Abdul Saboor, prayed the court that two of his other brothers namely Abdul Basit and Abdul Majid also went missing after release from Adiala Jail. The covert agencies had admitted in the Supreme Court that 11 persons gone missing from Adiala Jail were taken into custody by the law enforcement agencies.
Police and Jail superintendent told the court that a report submitted by the counsel of covert agencies, Raja Irshad admits that the said persons are in the custody of intelligence agencies.
