Khi violence could divide country, fears Fazl

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman Monday feared that unabated incidents of violence could lead to the division of country and called for resolving the issue by exercising wisdom and pragmatism.

In a statement he warned that violent incidents in the city would only fan ethnicity and this would shatter the image of Pakistan as one nation.

He said a one-page prescription to remedy the Karachi situation has been forwarded to the government.

Mualana Fazl-ur-Rehman said he wished that the government completes its Constitutional term. "The government is gnawing at its tenure through its failed policies," he added.
