Karachi : The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) opposed Commissionerate System revived by the government, announcing to challenge the system in courts.
While talking to media on Sunday after the meeting of Rabita Committee (coordination committee), Dr Farooq Sattar said that the restoration of the system is a tool of blackmailing by the government.
MQM’s leader Anees Qaimkhani said that his party will contact public on the issue, adding that the government has tried to create rifts between Sindhis and Urdu speaking people.
“People of Sindh have to raise their voices against the conspiracy,” he added.
Dr Farooq Sattar said that Commissionerate System reflects dictatorship while common people support local government system.
