14 more fall victims to ongoing Karachi violence

Karachi :Violence lingers on even on Sunday in Pakistan’s mega city.Situation remained tense in various parts of the city including Malir and Khokhrapar on Sunday as at least 14 persons have been killed in a fresh wave of violence during last 12 hours.

According to police sources, unknown armed gunmen opened fire on motorcyclist and killed Raheel, Selah ud Din and Awais Rao in an area of Buffer Zone, Shadman Number 2. After the incident the suspects succeeded to flee from the crime scene.

Badar Afzaal, who got severe injuries on Friday in a discriminate firing by unknown gunmen on Sunday he too succumbed to injuries in Jinnah Hospital.

In Qaidabad area located in the jurisdiction of Shah Abdul Latif Town Police Station, anonymous armed persons killed a newspaper vendor. He was taken to Civil hospital for autopsy.

A 30-years old Zeeshan was gunned down in Saeeda Abad near Muach Mor by some unidentified armed persons. Police shifted the dead body to Civil Hospital for postmortem. Police sources told that the investigation of the incident is in progress from the people, who were present on the crime scene.

Meanwhile, in Malir Iqbal Town exchange of fire between the two groups is still continues while fear and panic has gripped the area.
