'MQM will continue to support govt'

ISLAMABAD, May 03 : The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has assured President Asif Ali Zardari, who is also Co-Chairman of PPP, that as coalition partner, the MQM will continue to support the government with the aim to address the problems the country is facing.

An MQM delegation, led by Sindh Governor Dr Eshrat-ul-Ebaad Khan, on Tuesday met President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr and discussed with him matters regarding law and order situation in Sindh province especially in Karachi. The delegation also discussed the current economic situation and presented some suggestions for the upcoming budget and to address the critical economic issues in the country. The delegates also raised some issued regarding coalition government in Sindh.

The President condoled with the delegation the death of MQM leader and former MPA Liaquat Qureshi and other party activists and assured that the involved elements would be brought to justice. The President said that PPP firmly believes in taking along all allies and coalition partners and added that their concerns would be duly addressed.
