NOWSHERA, May 04 : A constable of Mohmand Rifles was killed while two others were injured when a NATO tanker coming from Karachi hit a truck of security forces near Badrashi on Grand Trunk (GT) Road on Wednesday. The injured constables were rushed to Combined Military Hospital (CMH),Nowshera.
According to reports, Taj Wali of Mohmand Rifles, while lodging an FIR in Nowshera Cantt police station said that they were on duty and were going towards Peshawar in an official truck that a NATO tanker hit the vehicle from behind. As a result, a constable, Farhad Ali Bangash of Lachi, Kohat, was killed on the spot while two constables, Sajjad and Baltiyas were injured. The martyred constable after post-mortem was wrapped in the national flag and was handed over to his relatives.
The driver of the NATO tanker escaped from the scene.
