Power crisis rises to new high

KARACHI: The power crisis in Pakistan has further aggravated with more outages in various cities and towns.

Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has announced eight to 14 hours load shedding in the metropolis. The authorities also considering over 20 percent cut in gas supply to the industries and closure of CNG stations from 12:00 at midnight till 8:00 in the morning.

In Balochistan provincial capital Quetta is undergoing six hours and other cities and towns 10 to 20 hours outages.
