Senior ANP leader Amin Khattak dies

KARACHI: Veteran leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), Amin Khattak died of cardiac arrest in a local hospital here Sunday.

Khattak, 60-something, was Secretary General Sindh chapter of the party.

He had returned to home few days back after being treated in a private hospital for several heart problems.

However, his health severely destabilized today afternoon and he was shifted to a private hospital, but could not survive.

The ANP has announced three-day mourning for his death. His funeral prayers are likely to be offered tomorrow at his Patel Para residence in Karachi.

He has long been associated with ANP. Khattak also took part in politics with Wali Kahn, the founder of ANP.
