LAHORE, March 25 : Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Friday strongly condemned the incident of desecration of the Holy Quran by a US pastor.
Talking to media men, Shujaat demanded of the government to announce half-day-holiday in the entire country on the Semi-Final Cricket World Cup Match day being played between Pakistan and India in Mohali on March 30. He pinned hope that Pakistan will defeat India on India's ground.
To a question, Shujaat said that all the options are open for his party including an electoral alliance with any political party including with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). He said that Nawaz Sharif will remain the leader of the unified Muslim League if he joins the alliance.
"Nawaz once sent me invitation to meet him but later on he himself rejected it," the PML-Q president remarked.
Shujaat demanded of the government to release all the Q-league workers detained in Ghotki especially MNA Marvi Memon and the Lady Health Workers who were protesting for regularisation of their jobs.
He also demanded to abolish all the cases registered against the detainees, however he vowed that Q-league will support the health workers in future too.
