Islamabad: Govt to fulfill commitments made to investors in Balochistan: PM

ISLAMABAD, March 4 : Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that government would fulfill all commitments made with investors who are working in different areas of Balochistan to encourage more investment in the province.

He appreciated the gesture of Utch Power Company in establishing educational and other public welfare institutions in Balochistan for the local people.

The Prime Minister was talking to Deputy Chairman Senate, Mr. Jan Muhammad Jamali and representatives of Utch Power Company in a meeting at his Parliament House Chamber here Friday. Other Parliamentarians also called on the Prime Minister subsequently.

While observing the impact of various development projects in Balochistan, the Prime Minister said that the government has also allocated reasonable amount for expansion and betterment of the road network in the Province.

Talking to Parliamentarians, the Prime Minister said that the input provided by them regarding the ongoing development activities in their respective areas provides an opportunity for making necessary improvements.

He said that no distinction has been made in allocation of funds to the Parliamentarians on basis of party affiliation as it has expended the net of government’s development agenda. He observed that the government’s policy has also positively engaged the local representatives and inculcated the sense of ownership of these ongoing development projects.

The Parliamentarians lauded the Prime Minister for keeping close contact with the public representatives to exchange views various issues of their respective areas. They also informed the Prime Minister about the progress of various development schemes launched in their constituencies. They also put forth various proposals for improvements in these projects.

The Parliamentarins included MNAs, Sardar Salim Haider Khan, Mr. Humair Hayat Khan Rokhri, Ms. Surriya Asghar, Dr. Nelson Azeem and Senator Dr. Saeeda Iqbal
