RAWALPINDI, March 19 : Armed robbers killed a young girl after residents offered resistance during a robbery in a house here on Saturday.
According to police, two robbers barged into a house located in Hazara area in the limits of Ganj Mandi Police Station.
The robbers took the residents of house hostage at gun point and asked them to hand over the cash and other valuables.
Upon resistance from the residents of the house, the robbers opened fire at them killing a nine-year-old girl. The robbers fled away from the scene along with looted valuables.
The body was shifted to hospital and handed over to heirs after medico-legal requirements.
The enraged dwellers of Hazara area held a strong protest against the incident and demanded the police to arrest the culprits within 24 hours.
