ISLAMABAD, March 18 : Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has supported the court verdict in Raymond Davis case and said the Government implemented the order.
In a statement issued here on Friday Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said “the court decided in favour of release of the detainee which has been implemented”.
The Prime Minister said in Raymond Davis case, the country’s leadership including the opposition had reached a consensus that the final decision would be taken by the court. This consensus was also inline with the public sentiments at large and finally the case was decided by the trial court.
The Prime Minister said it is inappropriate to hold any single institution responsible for the final outcome of the case.
