SWAT, March 21 : Five militants were killed by the security forces in Drushkhela area of tehsil Matta on Monday.
Official sources said that locals informed the security forces about the presence of local militants in Drushkhela mountainous area of Swat Valley. The security forces personnel cordoned off the entire area and launched
search operation in which five suspected militants were arrested.
The detainees were shifted for interrogation during which they disclosed about hidden weaponry in the same place. The security forces personnel in order to retrieve the hidden weaponry arrived at the place along with the arrested militants. The militants attacked the security forces personnel and tried to snatch guns from them to flee from their custody.
The security forces opened fire at the militants to foil their escape bid and killed all of them on the spot. The bodies were shifted to District Hospital Matta.
