FIASALABAD, March 04 : Industrialists and mill owners of Faisalabad have decided to postpone their call of long-march scheduled on 5th March against five-day gas cut for industrial units after their meeting with Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif.
A 25 member delegation of industrialists and representatives of organizations functioning for welfare of workers of textile and other industries of Faisalabad met Shahbaz Sharif at CM Secretariat on Friday.
During the meeting CM assured the delegation that Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) led provincial government would spare no efforts in resolving their concerns.
“I was personally keen to resolve the problems faced by industrialist and workers as soon as possible” the Chief Minister assured the delegation.
Earlier, industrialists and workers of Faisalabad had announced to hold province wide long march on March 5(Saturday) against five day gas cut and for other problems faced by industrial units.
Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah who was also present during the meeting, talking to media later said that issues of Faisalabad traders are economic and not political but some elements were trying to politicize the issue for personal and party interests.
He maintained that article 158 of the constitution is being misinterpreted with the 18th amendment.
Sanaullah said that the Chief Minister along with delegation of industrialists will meet Prime Minister in a couple of days and notify their reservations regarding their difficulties.
It should be mentioned that Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has already announced that gas load shedding would end by mid of the current month
