QUETTA, March 23 : Frontier Constabulary foiled a bid to target Quetta and other cities of Balochistan on occasion of "Pakistan Day" as it arrested four miscreants and recovered huge cache of arms and explosives from their possession.
Special security arrangements were made on occasion of "Pakistan Day" and security forces were on high alert while the number of patrols was increased besides search of vehicles and baggages of people at entrances of the different cities.
The FC personnel during search of a suspected vehicle near Maizai Adda, at Chaman Highway recovered huge cache of arms and explosives and arrested four militants.
The detainees were shifted to undisclosed location for further investigations.
Sources said that the recovered arms and explosives were to be used for carrying out terrorist attacks in different cities of the province including provincial capital Quetta. Important revelations were expected from the nabbed culprits, the sources added.
Meanwhile, citizens have lauded the FC for saving the precious lives by recovering explosives and arms.
