LAHORE, Feb 26 : Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has sent a summary to Governor Sardar Latif Khosa for the dissolution of the provincial cabinet and the cabinet is expected to be dissolved within 24 hours.
Sources said that a high-level meeting was held here on Saturday under the Chairmanship of Mian Shahbaz Sharif during which consultations were held for dissolution of the cabinet and for giving ministries to the Unification Bloc.
Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah himself took the dissolution summary to the governor.
However, sources said that differences have emerged within the PML-N over giving three ministries to Unification Bloc as some of them argued that these were the people who got Musharraf elected as President in uniform and if the party rewarded them it would send a negative message to the masses about the party.
Sources also disclosed that at Friday meeting at the Punjab House chaired by Mian Nawaz Sharif, senior leaders including Raja Zafarul Haq, Javed Hashmi, Senator Ishaq Dar and some others had opposed the expulsion of PPP from Punjab and pleaded with the leadership to give more time to PPP for the implementation of 10-point agenda.
