SC reserves PCO Judges contempt case verdict

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Wednesday reserved judgment in PCO Judges contempt case.

The verdict will determine whether the contempt of court notices can be issued to judges. If the court decides that the contempt proceedings can be initiated against judges than the justices who had taken oath under the PCO will be issued contempt of the court notices.

The counsels of judges Dr. Basit, Ibrahim Satti, Waseem Sajjad and S.M. Zafar Advocate argued that the judges are exempted from contempt proceedings. The court reserved the judgment after the arguments.
