LAHORE, Jan 05 : Faryal Talpur, sister of President Asif Ali Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah represented the President at the funeral of Punjab Governor Salman Taseer.
Faryal Talpur remained with the widow of Salman Taseer, his daughters and other members of the family while the Chief Minister attended Namaz-e-Janaza and burial of the late Governor.
Faryal Talpur told the widow of Governor, Aamna Taseer and his daughters that the President is deeply grieved over the death of the Governor and has expressed his deep condolences with the bereaved family.
She said President Zardari considered Salman Taseer as his brother and was deeply saddened over his death. She said in this time of grief, the whole Bhutto and Zardari families were with Taseer family.
