MURIDKE, Jan 24 : Hundreds of passengers were stuck up for nearly 11 hours in extreme cold weather when engine of Karachi bound Awam Express train broke down here on Sunday night.
Worst sufferers were children, women and elderly persons. Railway officials sent an engine which derailed at the station. A crane was later dispatched from Lahore which brought back the engine on track and the train resumed its journey after 11 hours giving a sigh of relief to the passengers.
