Islamabad Dec 19 Chairman of Pak-China Institute and Secretary General of PML-Q Mushahid Hussain Syed has said that the United States is perturbed over increasing Chinese influence in the region.
Talking to a private TV channel about the visit of the Chinese Prime Minister, Mushahid Hussain Syed said the visit of Mr Wen Jiabao was very successful. He said Pakistan can successfully implement the Thar Coal and Ketibandar projects with Chinese assistance an cooperation.
Mushahid Hussain pointed that the Chinese Prime Minister during his visit to Pakistan has spoken of addressing the root causes of terrorism which is very important. He said China recognizes that Pakistan has an important role in the war on terror and given great sacrifices for this purpose.
He was of the view that after the visit of the Chinese Prime Minister, US would pay more attention towards Pakistan. He said china has emerged as an economic super power and Pakistan must take advantage from that. He said Pakistan must go for setting up of key industries with the support of China.
