Siraiki province need of the hour: Jamshed Dasti

ISLAMABAD, Dec 12 : Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party and MNA from Muzaffargarh, Jamshed Ahmad Dasti has demanded for creation of Siraiki province declaring it need of the hour. He said that people of southern Punjab are being kept backward intentionally and added that all the development projects are being done in some specific areas of the province.

In an exclusive interview with INP here on Sunday, the PPP MNA Jamshed Dasti threw his weight in favour of the demand for making Siraiki province saying that there are three Thermal power projects in District Muzaffargarh, but people from outside the district are employed in these projects.

"There are three Thermal0 power projects in District Muzaffargarh, but people from outside the district are employed in these projects, which is great excess with the people of the area", he said.

The PPP MNA complained that Watan Cards have not been distributed in the flood victims of his district. He said that Punjab government has not released the amount for the flood affectees yet.

Replying a question about police torture against students and teachers in Punjab, Dasti said the venom of the incumbent Punjab government against education exposed while it carried out severe torture against innocent students and teachers across the province.

"Torture against students and teachers is well-planned conspiracy to keep poor people at the bay and deprive them from getting education", he said.

To another query about Reformed GST, the PPP MNA said it is against landlords, industrialists and capitalists, if it is proved against the poor people of the country, he would raise his voice.

"I will raise my voice against RGST if it is against the poor and middle class of the country, because I am representative of poor people".

Jamshed Dasti once against supported his longstanding stance that there should not be any condition for contesting elections.
