LAHORE, Dec 01 : The district administration in Lahore on Wednesday imposed ban on pillion riding from 1st to 10th of Muharam-ul-Haram to avert any law and order situation in the city during the holy month.
CCPO Lahore Aslam Tareen told a private TV channel that fool proof security plan was envisaged for Lahore city and pillion ban to ensure security situation during Muharam-ul-Haram.
CCPO said that additional police personnel will be deployed at various sensitive points and Imambargahs in the city to avert any act of sabotage.
Intelligence reports say that terrorists could target several cities and spots during Muharam and the ban on pillion riding has been imposed keeping in line with the intelligence reports.
