No power in world to distance Pak-China friendly ties: Mehmud Quresh

MULTAN, Dec 19 : Foreign Minister Mukhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Sunday Pakistan enjoys deep friendly relationship with China and there exists no any power in the world to create distance between the relationships of the two brotherly countries.

While addressing press conference at local airport, Mukhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the recent visit of Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao to Pakistan is landmark in country's history. He said Pakistan has historic, exemplary and trusted friendly ties with China and added that the both countries have always cooperated with each other at international level.

He said China has made great progress economically despite recession across the world. He added Pakistani leadership feel that we should take advantage of developed economy of China and transform this trusted friendship ties in enhancing country's economic growth.

He said Pakistan has made several trade agreements and also signed Memoranda of Understandings in different fields of mutual interest in order to further deepen friendly ties and to boost country's economy.

He informed that the both countries agreed to open branches of banks in their respective countries which would surely help Pakistan to improve its economy. He said China will invest in energy sector including hydro-power, wind energy, solar energy and coal reservoirs.
