QUETTA, Dec 27 : As many as nine people were killed and a girl was kidnapped in separate incidents in different localities of Balochistan.
In Khuzdar area unidentified armed assailants gunned down Lateef Shehwani, a local leader of Balochistan National Party (BNP) and his 12 year old son.
Miscreants opened fire at an oil tanker engaged in supplying fuel to NATO forces near Mastung area killing driver of tanker identified as Muhammad Saleem and leaving cleaner critically injured.
In Taftan area elder brother shot to death younger brother over financial dispute. The deceased was identified as Lahl Muhammad.
Two including a minor girl were killed in separate road mishaps in Gandwah and Jhal Magsi localities.
Police have recovered bodies of fiver persons from Kaley Qambrani and Dasht areas.
The bodies recovered from Kaley Qambrani area were identified as Zubair Ahmed, Tariq while the bodies recovered from Dasht area were identified as Sohbat Marri and Shahdin Marri. Identified of one person were not confirmed.
Meanwhile, unidentified armed men kidnapped a young girl from temporary tent village setup for flood affectees in Dera Alayar.
Police have arrested three suspects in connection with firing incidents from Qambrani Road area.
