Man succumbed to injuries after committing suicide

SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 01 : A person, who attempted to commit suicide through self immolation over property dispute in Farooqabad area of Sheikhupura, succumbed to his wounds in hospital on Wednesday.

According to details, Muhammad Ijaz 65, a retired government employee hailing from Farooqabad area of Sheikhpura was in enmity with a local landlord who forcefully occupied his agricultural land.

He repeatedly appealed the elders and also consulted authorities concerned to vacate his land from the occupation of landlord.

However, Ijaz's efforts could not bear fruit for him and no heed was paid towards resolving the issue.

On Tuesday disappointed Ijaz attempted to commit suicide through self immolation by spraying petrol on him.

However, police and locals shifted him to hospital in critical condition where he died on Wednesday morning.
