HHRD distributes Rs 160m relief goods in Sindh, Balochistan

ISLAMABAD, Dec 08 : Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) in collaboration with King Abdullah Relief Commission distributed over 15,000 ration packets and 18,000 tents among the flood affected of Sindh and Balochistan provinces.

According to the HHRD Emergency Relief Department, the ration packets being distributed among the flood affected of far flung areas of the two provinces includes cooking oil, rice, milk, Dalda ghee and other edibles, benefiting over 100,000 people.

The food items and tents were dealt out in the first phase among the flood affected people of Larkana, Shahdad Kot, Dado, Shakar Pur and Kashmore districts of Sindh, while in the second phase the relief goods were distributed among the affectees of Naseer Abad and Jaffer Abad districts of Balochistan at cost of 160 million.

Fazal-ur-Rehman, Country Director HHRD, while taking to media here on Wednesday said that the distribution of food items and tents would help reduce the hardships of thousands of flood affected who were facing harsh winter season. He reiterated his resolve that the social organization will continue its projects with the league of other partners until complete rehabilitation of the affected.
