KARACHI, Dec 20 : Federal Commerce Minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim Thursday ruled out the reports that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani was being replaced with him.
In a statement issued here, Amim Fahim said that rumours regarding reshuffle in the parliament were baseless as PM Gilani was unanimously elected for the office by the Parliament.
It should be mentioned that media reports had reported the likelihood of possible replacement of PM Gilani with Amin Fahim, after JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had demanded removal of the prime minister.
Fahim also denied reports that he had any hand in stoping post-mortem on the dead body of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
The PPP leader said that he has been grilled thrice in BB’s murder case.
