ISLAMABAD Dec 19 : The Constitutional Reform Committee (CRC) has finalized the draft of 19th constitutional amendment
The draft was approved at a meeting chaired by Mian Raza Rabbani at the Parliament House on Sunday. It will be handed over to the Speaker National Assembly ;on Monday and presented before both the houses of Parliament..
The 19th amendment includes recommendations regarding judges' appointment.
The prime minister will also have a say in appointment of judges, according to the amendmended draft. The number of judges in the judicial commission has been increased from two to four.
It further sad that the Judges' Appointment Committee will not reconsider the name of rejected judge but would give reasons in detail for rejecting their names.
The meeting was attended by all the 24 members of the committee.
