LAHORE: Supreme Court Lahore Registry headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry Tuesday changed death penalty of two convicts into life imprisonment.
Two convicts Zulfiqar Hussain and Mohammed Shahid had filed appeals in Lahore Registry of the Supreme Court against death sentence in a murder case.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry during hearing of the case remarked that the court decides cases as per the law and the constitution without accepting any pressure.
The chief justice said the objective of the court is to provide justice to people without any discrimination.
